Security & Control

Keep the purpose of customer data visible.

A contact record can outlive the reason it was created. Pixie CRM privacy and consent capabilities help teams keep the purpose, preferences and handling of information in view. They support an accountable process, while the organisation remains responsible for deciding how and why it uses personal information.

Keep the customer context, responsible person and next step together. Start with a familiar task, agree the information the team needs and check the result with the people who will use it.

Record the context behind a preference

A useful consent record explains what the person was asked, the choice they made and when it was recorded. Separate different communication purposes instead of treating one checkbox as permission for everything. Make changes in preference available to the workflows that depend on them. Where information comes from another source, understand its origin and the conditions under which it may be used.

Give privacy tasks an owner

Information requests, corrections and retention reviews need a clear route through the organisation. Define who can verify a request, find the relevant records and review an export or deletion decision. Consider connected systems and downloaded files as well as the CRM itself. The module can help organise evidence and actions, but the appropriate legal basis, notices, retention periods and response obligations require decisions grounded in your actual circumstances.

Useful answers

What you might
be wondering.

Practical details for a better informed conversation.

Does this make our organisation automatically GDPR compliant?

No. Software can support records and workflows, but compliance also depends on your purposes, policies, contracts, staff practices and the way the system is configured and used.

Can marketing preferences differ from service communications?

They should be treated as separate purposes in the design. Agree the relevant preference fields and how each connected workflow checks them before sending a message.
