Make handovers part of the process
Map the moments where work changes hands: an enquiry is qualified, a proposal is accepted, a project starts or an account needs support. Decide which information must travel with each handover and who checks it. A consistent customer record connects those stages, while projects, tasks and billing give each team a place to manage its own work. Start with the handover causing the most delay before expanding the rollout.
Give managers a view they can act on
Agree what a pipeline stage, overdue task or completed project means before building dashboards. A report is useful when someone can identify the exception and take responsibility for resolving it. Review access as new departments join, remove duplicate fields and document the small number of rules everyone needs to follow. Automation can then support an agreed process instead of sending more reminders about work whose ownership is still unclear.
