Accounting & filing workflows

Keep client work organised around the filing process.

An accounting practice needs a clear view of clients, deadlines, requested information and review responsibilities. A CRM can help organise that work, while bookkeeping, tax calculations and statutory submissions require the appropriate software, authority and controls.

Organise the engagement and the evidence

Record the client, agreed services, responsible team and relevant deadlines. Track information requests and link the working documents using appropriate access controls. Separate internal review from client approval so the status of a job explains what remains to be done.

Connect finance systems with a defined purpose

Discuss whether the requirement concerns practice billing, client bookkeeping information or a separate accounting workflow. These are different uses of an integration. Confirm supported products and editions, field mapping, permissions and how errors will be reconciled before relying on an automatic transfer.

Confirm submission capability explicitly

If your requirement includes HMRC, Making Tax Digital or Companies House submissions, identify the exact obligation, filing type and current submission route with your qualified adviser and service team. Confirm whether a supported specialist application is required and who is authorised to submit. A module label or legacy page title does not establish approval, recognition or support for a particular filing.

Keep responsibility visible

Agree who prepares, reviews, approves and submits each item, and what evidence of acceptance is retained. Plan for rejected submissions, corrected information and staff absence. Discuss the intended workflow with Pixie CRM before committing to a migration or retiring an existing filing application.
