Turn a requirement into manageable work
Record what needs to be checked, which activity it concerns and who is accountable. Identify the evidence needed and the date or event that triggers review. Use clear statuses so a missing document is distinguishable from a completed assessment. Any preset should be reviewed against the actual organisation and sector; an imported checklist is a starting point, not proof that every obligation has been identified.
Keep decisions and exceptions together
When a review finds an issue, assign the corrective action and retain the reasoning behind the decision. Reminders help owners act, but an overdue item also needs an escalation route. Limit access to sensitive evidence and record changes where the configured audit controls support them. Legal and regulatory interpretation remains a matter for appropriately qualified people; the software helps organise the resulting work and evidence.
