Build a job record that supports the handover
Capture the parties involved, the agreed movement and the information operations needs before arranging the work. Keep relevant documents and commercial references attached to the job. Decide which milestones indicate progress and who updates them. A salesperson and an operations coordinator may need different views, but both should be able to identify the same job and understand the commitments made to the customer.
Plan for changes during the journey
A revised collection time, missing document or delivery exception can affect several people. Record the change, assign a responsible person and make the customer communication clear. Delivery evidence should be linked to the relevant movement and checked before it is used to close an operational or billing step. Specialist dispatch, telematics or carrier requirements need their own integration assessment; they should not be inferred from a general logistics module.
