Choose measures that reflect the work
An owner might need to see overdue follow-ups, invoices awaiting resolution or projects blocked by a customer decision. A manager may need a trend across a period. Define which records are included and how dates and statuses are interpreted. Mix volume with measures of timeliness or completion where that gives a fairer picture. Avoid treating a large activity total as proof that the customer outcome improved.
Keep the route back to evidence
A summary should connect with the records that explain it. Use filters to narrow an investigation, and make refresh timing clear so people know how current the view is. Important totals should be reconciled with the appropriate source. Export permissions and handling also matter, because a report can contain information that should not circulate widely. End a review with a decision, owner or next action rather than a screenshot of a chart.
