How to preview, validate and commit tax record imports
For your Pixie CRM team: Follow the Tax Record Imports workflow in Pixie CRM to preview, validate and commit tax record imports.
Before you start
Required access: Import controlled tax evidence. The module must be enabled and its installed version ready for your workspace. Select the intended taxpayer, authority and period before changing a record.
How to preview, validate and commit tax record imports
- Select Taxpayer profile and Tax regime. Upload a CSV or XLSX source file and choose Create secure preview.
- Map each required destination field to its source column; leave unrelated columns Not mapped.
- Choose Validate mapped rows and review row errors, duplicate/source identity issues and the preview totals.
- Correct the mapping or source until validation passes. Confirm that you reviewed mapping, results and source evidence.
- Choose Commit validated records. Check Recent import batches and Recent imported tax records. Use Cancel preview to discard a pending preview.
Controls and limits
- Imports create controlled evidence records. Posted Accounting remains the source for return calculations.
- Previews are restricted to the originating tenant and actor and expire; committing or cancelling clears their payload. Do not use another person’s preview.
Check the result
Reopen the affected record and confirm the taxpayer, period, saved values and status. For external actions, inspect the actual authority acknowledgement or settlement evidence; a local saved or queued state is not acceptance.
If you cannot continue
Read the displayed validation or readiness message. Check the module version, role, source scope, authority, period and current approval evidence. If another person changed the record, refresh and review the current version. Give support the screen, error wording and correlation reference; keep passwords, one-time codes and tax identifiers out of public messages.
