How to confirm your identity for a protected action
For your Pixie CRM team: Follow the Confirm your identity workflow in Pixie CRM to confirm your identity for a protected action.
Before you start
Required access: Permission for the requested protected action. The module must be enabled and its installed version ready for your workspace. Select the intended taxpayer, authority and period before changing a record.
How to confirm your identity for a protected action
- When the confirmation screen opens, enter Current Britixo password using your own staff account.
- Complete the requested Email two-factor code or Authenticator app code. Use Send fresh 2FA code to my staff email when an email code is required.
- Choose Confirm identity, then return to the intended tax action and review its details before continuing.
Controls and limits
- Identity confirmation does not grant a missing role permission or HMRC authority.
- Never share the password or one-time code with support. Labels may retain the underlying platform name in a branded workspace.
Check the result
Reopen the affected record and confirm the taxpayer, period, saved values and status. For external actions, inspect the actual authority acknowledgement or settlement evidence; a local saved or queued state is not acceptance.
If you cannot continue
Read the displayed validation or readiness message. Check the module version, role, source scope, authority, period and current approval evidence. If another person changed the record, refresh and review the current version. Give support the screen, error wording and correlation reference; keep passwords, one-time codes and tax identifiers out of public messages.
