Before you start

Use your own authorised staff account in the intended Pixie CRM workspace. The Sales CRM module must be available and your role must include the permissions stated above. Existing leads, customers, communications and customer portal pages retain their normal access rules.

Follow these steps

  1. Read the complete validation message and keep the form open while correcting its inputs.
  2. Confirm native Items View and the appropriate Sales CRM permissions. Product lookup and quotations require both areas.
  3. Confirm the opportunity is active and open, the owner is eligible, linked records remain accessible and the price book is active in the same currency.
  4. Check product relationships, unique quantities, supported precision, quote limits and valid-until date.
  5. For stale pricing, return a pending quote to draft and refresh it. For approved terms, prepare a revised quote.

Behavior and limits

  • Creating and editing quotations requires Edit accessible deals, even when Create deals is available. Quote review requires its separate approval permission.
  • Current actor and opportunity owner must retain access to linked customer and lead records when preparing or approving quotes.
  • The server rejects unknown products, missing native tax references, unsupported tax values, duplicate lines, impossible product rules and unreviewed client calculations.
  • Dates, numeric precision, quantity limits and monetary limits are validated on the server. Browser validation alone does not save a record.
  • Saved quote terms and history remain available after a book is retired; visibility still follows the opportunity and Items View permissions.

Check it worked

  • Reopen the saved record after a successful action and confirm the intended state and values.
  • Check that an error did not produce another quote before starting a new form after a network interruption.

Troubleshooting

  • A session/request-token message requires refreshing the authenticated page. Re-enter unsaved work only after sign-in is restored.
  • A no-reviewer message requires a different eligible reviewer; the preparer or requester cannot approve the same terms.
  • If a page remains unavailable, give support the quote ID, opportunity ID, action and exact error text. Never include passwords, session cookies or private customer data unnecessarily.
