Set required, incompatible and suggested products
Keep quotations consistent with product relationships that validate the selected scope.

Before you start
Use your own authorised staff account in the intended Pixie CRM workspace. The Sales CRM module must be available and your role must include the permissions stated above. Existing leads, customers, communications and customer portal pages retain their normal access rules.
Follow these steps
- Add the related products to the same price book.
- Select Add rule. Choose the triggering product, relationship and related product.
- Use Requires companion when the second product must be quoted with the first. Use Cannot combine with for incompatible products. Use Suggest companion for an optional recommendation.
- Save and review a representative quotation. Add required companions explicitly, remove incompatible products and decide whether suggestions belong in the scope.
Behavior and limits
- Up to 100 product relationships are supported per book. Each relationship connects two different products already in that book.
- Requires companion is directional. It requires the companion to be present with a positive quantity; it does not set a quantity ratio or insert a line automatically.
- Cannot combine with is symmetric. The pair is rejected regardless of which product is selected first.
- Suggestions are informational and do not change pricing or the selected products.
- Required-product cycles and chains that force incompatible products together are rejected when the book is saved. Duplicate rules are also rejected.
Check it worked
- A missing required companion or incompatible pair prevents price review with an explanatory message.
- An optional suggestion appears after calculation without adding a charged line.
Troubleshooting
- If a rule refers to a removed book product, remove or update that rule before saving.
- For a required-chain conflict, inspect all Requires companion and Cannot combine with rules along the chain.
- If several rules fail, the message shows up to five problems. Correct them and calculate again.
