Export quote details and prepare a native estimate
Download the recorded commercial terms and use the existing Estimates workflow for the customer document.
Where to goOpportunity → Quotations → Open quotation → Export quote details; native Estimates area
Before you start
Use your own authorised staff account in the intended Pixie CRM workspace. The Sales CRM module must be available and your role must include the permissions stated above. Existing leads, customers, communications and customer portal pages retain their normal access rules.
Follow these steps
- Open the quotation and confirm its state, validity and approval history.
- Select Export quote details to download its UTF-8 CSV with product IDs, descriptions, quantities, unit rates, taxes, discount, totals and notes.
- If a customer-facing offer is needed, open the normal Estimates area and create a draft using your authorised account and the intended customer.
- Enter the approved product scope and rates, currency, percentage discount before tax, taxes and validity. Review the native estimate line and final totals independently.
- Use the existing estimate preview, sending, signature and invoice-conversion controls only after the document has been checked under your normal process.
Behavior and limits
- The CSV is a record of the stored quotation, not an import template. Exporting does not create, update, send or approve a native estimate.
- The file labels Draft, Awaiting approval, Approved, Changes requested or Cancelled so unapproved terms are not mistaken for approved ones.
- Potential spreadsheet formulas in text are escaped as literal text. A text viewer may display the leading apostrophe.
- The quote and native estimate are separate records. This release does not automatically allocate an estimate number, link records, copy attachments, collect signatures or synchronise later edits.
- Native estimates retain their existing permissions and calculation rules. Fractional-quantity or tax rounding differences require review before sending the customer document.
Check it worked
- Open the exported sales-crm-quote-ID.csv and compare its ID, state, currency and total with the quote detail.
- Check the final native estimate against the approved scope and document any intentional differences through your normal review process.
Troubleshooting
- If spreadsheet data appears in one column, import as UTF-8 CSV with comma delimiter and double-quote text qualifier.
- A missing export button usually indicates that quote viewing or native Items View is unavailable.
- If you lack native Estimates access, ask the authorised estimate owner to prepare the document; quote access does not grant that permission.
