Move stages, archive and restore selected opportunities

Apply normal stage controls or archive lifecycle actions across a reviewed selection.

Where to goSales CRM → Deals → Select deals → Review change

Before you start

Use your own authorised staff account in the intended Pixie CRM workspace. The Sales CRM module must be available and your role must include the permissions stated above. Existing leads, customers, communications and customer portal pages retain their normal access rules.

Follow these steps

  1. For stage movement, select active opportunities in the intended pipeline and choose Move stage / request approval.
  2. Choose an active destination stage. Complete required close dates, loss reasons and other stage information individually before previewing if necessary.
  3. Read each proposed result. Request approval means the current stage will remain while a different authorised reviewer considers the request.
  4. For archiving, choose Archive opportunities and review the lifecycle effects. Apply the acknowledged preview.
  5. For restoration, choose More filters → Archive → Archived deals and apply the filters. Select records, choose Restore opportunities and review before applying.

Behavior and limits

  • A stage must belong to the opportunity pipeline. This action does not move records between pipelines.
  • Won and Lost retain their normal close-date, reason and probability rules. Other configured required fields and approval gates also apply.
  • A pending stage request prevents another request for a controlled destination. The same completed bulk job never creates duplicate requests when retried.
  • Archiving retains records and history, cancels pending stage requests and stops active or paused cadences under the existing archive rules.
  • Restoration does not restart stopped cadences or reinstate cancelled approvals. Start any new process explicitly.
  • Already-current stages, already-archived records and already-active restoration targets are reported as Unchanged.

Check it worked

  • Check whether a result says Updated or Approval requested. Only an approved transition changes a controlled stage.
  • Use active and archived filters to verify archive state and inspect the preserved opportunity history.

Troubleshooting

  • If a Lost move fails, enter a clear loss reason on the individual opportunity before selecting it again.
  • A no-reviewer message means there is no different active staff member with approval permission and record access.
  • Restore first if a stage move reports that the opportunity is archived.
