Read and export visible account relationships
Use ancestor navigation, paginated subsidiary cards and a clearly scoped CSV export.
Where to goSales CRM → Relationships → Account hierarchy → Customer
Before you start
Use your own authorised staff account in the intended Pixie CRM workspace. The Sales CRM module must be available and your role must include the permissions stated above. Existing leads, customers, communications and customer portal pages retain their normal access rules.
Follow these steps
- Read the ancestor path above the hierarchy and select a company to navigate to it.
- Review the parent card, selected customer and accessible direct subsidiaries.
- Choose Next subsidiaries when another page is available; choose First page to return to the beginning.
- Choose Refresh to reload current names, access and relationships.
- Choose Export visible relationships to download the currently loaded ancestor path and subsidiary page.
- Expand Parent relationship history to inspect the latest recorded changes for the selected customer.
Behavior and limits
- The diagram shows immediate relationships around the selected customer. Navigate into subsidiary cards to explore deeper levels.
- Direct subsidiaries are ordered by customer identifier and shown in pages of 50. Inaccessible or deleted customer records are excluded; displayed page counts are not a whole-company total.
- The ancestor path stops at the first unavailable parent. It does not reveal the identifiers or names of customers beyond that boundary.
- CSV includes the selected customer, current parent relationship version, available ancestors, current subsidiary page and notices about an incomplete path or further pages.
- Export uses the data currently loaded in the browser. Refresh first when current changes matter. It is not a complete organisation export or a financial roll-up.
- The export does not include contact email addresses, phone numbers, balances or unrelated customer fields. Formula-like text is escaped for spreadsheet safety.
- History displays the latest 100 parent actions, with actor, time, version, old/new parent labels and reason where access permits.
- If a historical parent is unavailable, its identifying details and that event’s reason are hidden. Names for accessible parents come from their current native records.
Check it worked
- Check the selected company and whether the path is marked incomplete.
- Read the CSV scope and More subsidiaries field before treating the file as a complete list.
- Confirm that direct subsidiaries refer only to immediate children.
Troubleshooting
- An empty page may reflect changed relationships or permissions; choose First page or Refresh.
- If an old export differs from the screen, compare the loaded version and current customer names.
- A hidden history reason indicates an unavailable related customer, not a missing audit action.
- Use the customer’s existing native areas for invoices, contacts and other detailed records.
