Where to goSales CRM → Sales actions

Before you start

Use your own authorised staff account in the intended Pixie CRM workspace. The Sales CRM module must be available and your role must include the permissions stated above. Existing leads, customers, communications and customer portal pages retain their normal access rules.

Follow these steps

  1. Open Sales actions to browse your private macros and active shared macros.
  2. Select View actions to inspect the fields and reminders in a definition.
  3. Choose Select opportunities, or open Deals and select Select deals.
  4. Select the opportunities on the current page and choose Run macro.
  5. Choose the saved macro and base date/time, preview the changes, acknowledge the review and apply.
  6. Inspect every result in Recent macro runs.

Behavior and limits

  • A macro is a manually applied sales routine. Saving a definition does not run it, schedule it or change any opportunity.
  • Supported field changes are Next step, Forecast category and Expected close date. A macro may also create up to five call, meeting, task or email reminders.
  • Field changes are combined into one normal opportunity edit, followed by the reminders. Existing permissions, required fields, linked-record access and field-edit automation still apply.
  • An email action is a reminder for a person to follow up. It sends no email and creates no mailbox outbox entry.
  • Macros do not change owners, move stages, approve records, merge data or run arbitrary code. Use the corresponding normal CRM workflows for those actions.
  • Private definitions belong to their creator. An administrator can explicitly share a definition, but sharing never grants record visibility or permission to execute its actions.
  • A run accepts one to sixty explicitly selected opportunities. Selections apply to the current list page and clear when the opportunity list refreshes.

Check it worked

  • Use View actions to confirm the routine matches the sales situation.
  • Verify that a saved definition alone creates no opportunity activities.
  • After a run, inspect its per-opportunity result and open the relevant opportunity.

Troubleshooting

  • If create/run controls are unavailable, check your Sales CRM Edit and bulk-change permissions through the normal staff-role process.
  • If no macro is offered, create one in Sales actions or use an active shared definition.
  • A retired shared definition is hidden from other users; the creator can include their own retired definitions.
