Find suitable products with guided selling

Use a short, administrator-configured questionnaire to narrow down products from a price book before preparing a quotation.

Before you start

Use your own authorised staff account in the intended Pixie CRM workspace. The Sales CRM module must be available and your role must include the permissions stated above. Existing leads, customers, communications and customer portal pages retain their normal access rules.

Follow these steps

Open Products & pricing to see the guided flows available in your workspace.
Choose Explore flow to try a questionnaire without changing an opportunity or quotation.
Choose one answer for each question. Review the matching products and the displayed answer criteria.
Change answers or choose Start over if the results do not fit the customer’s needs.
To add products to a quotation, open an accessible opportunity, choose Prepare quote and use Find products with guided selling inside the quotation form.

Behavior and limits

A guided flow uses explicit product choices configured by an administrator. It is not a prediction, external recommendation service or automatic assessment of a customer.
Each flow belongs to one price book. An answer identifies eligible products in that book; matching products must satisfy every answered question.
Unanswered questions do not narrow the results. Every question must be answered before selecting products for a quotation.
No matching products is a valid result. The flow does not silently substitute products or relax the selected criteria.
The displayed prices are the book’s base prices before quantity tiers, discounts and tax. Normal quotation calculation determines the final amounts.
Guided answers are not saved as CRM records. Exploring a flow does not create a quote, update an opportunity or contact a customer.
Native catalogue viewing permissions still apply. Flows do not grant access to products or opportunities.

Check it worked

Check that the displayed price book and currency are appropriate.
Read the criteria summary and confirm that it reflects your answers.
When exploring a flow, confirm that no quotation is created.

Troubleshooting

If no flows appear, an administrator must create an active flow for an active price book.
If a flow becomes unavailable, refresh and check its current state and your native Items View access.
If a product or book changed, ask an administrator to review the flow’s mappings before continuing.
