Review, adjust or reject forecast submissions

Record an independent forecast decision while preserving the salesperson’s original estimate and reasoning.

Where to goSales CRM → Forecast & targets → Submissions & review → Select period → Review

Before you start

Use your own authorised staff account in the intended Pixie CRM workspace. The Sales CRM module must be available and your role must include the permissions stated above. Existing leads, customers, communications and customer portal pages retain their normal access rules.

Follow these steps

  1. Find the latest pending submission and select Review.
  2. Read the submitted amount and assumptions. Expand Evidence recorded with this submission to inspect the pipeline figures recorded at that time.
  3. Choose Approve or adjust and enter the accepted amount, or choose Reject and request a new version.
  4. Enter a clear review reason. Explain any adjustment or what the salesperson should address in a new version.
  5. Select Record decision and verify the effective amount or rejected state.

Behavior and limits

  • Only the latest pending version can be reviewed. Superseded, approved and rejected versions are read-only.
  • A different authorised person must review a forecast, including forecasts submitted by administrators.
  • Approval replaces this owner’s effective amount for this period. The original submitted amount and reasoning remain in history.
  • Rejection leaves any earlier accepted version effective; it does not reset the accepted amount to zero.
  • Accepted and pending totals may represent the same owners and must not be added together.
  • Review reasons are required and support 2,000 characters. Accepted amounts use the same non-negative two-decimal limits as submissions.
  • Open and Locked periods permit review. Closed periods do not. Decisions do not change deals or sales targets.

Check it worked

  • Check the decision, accepted amount, reason, reviewer and decision time in View history.
  • After approving a replacement, confirm the prior version is no longer the effective version.

Troubleshooting

  • If Review is missing, check the latest state, period state, own submission restriction and both required permissions.
  • View all deals alone, stage approval permission or quote approval permission does not grant forecast review.
  • If a revision conflict appears, refresh and inspect the current version before making a new decision.
