Read and open Sales CRM dashboard KPIs
Understand the four sales KPI cards, separate currency totals and clickable filters on the native main dashboard.
Where to goMain dashboard → Connected dashboard widgets → Sales CRM: Opportunities at a glance
Before you start
Use your own authorised staff account in the intended Pixie CRM workspace. The Sales CRM module must be available and your role must include the permissions stated above. Existing leads, customers, communications and customer portal pages retain their normal access rules.
Follow these steps
- Open the main application dashboard in the intended workspace. Find Sales CRM: Opportunities at a glance in Connected dashboard widgets.
- Read the scope and observation time below the heading. The overview includes all pipelines within your existing Sales CRM viewing access.
- Select Open opportunities, Closing this month, Needs attention or Past expected close to open the corresponding filtered opportunity list.
- Under Open pipeline value, read each currency separately. Select a currency row to open its matching open opportunities.
- Choose Forecast & targets for the forecast workspace, or Open pipeline for all accessible open opportunities.
- On the opportunity page, open More filters to inspect dates and currency. Choose a specific pipeline and Apply if you want Board view. Return to or reload the dashboard to obtain refreshed figures.
Behavior and limits
- Open opportunities counts non-archived opportunities whose current stage has an Open outcome, across all pipelines. Won, Lost and archived opportunities are excluded.
- Closing this month counts those open opportunities with an expected close date from the first through the last day of the current calendar month, inclusive. It does not measure deals already won or actual cash received.
- Needs attention counts open opportunities with at least one existing health signal: an expected close date before today, no expected close date, an empty next step, or last activity before midnight 14 days ago. Creation time is used when no last activity is recorded. Each opportunity is counted once even if several signals apply.
- Past expected close counts open opportunities with an expected close date before today. Opportunities with no close date are excluded from this particular card and can appear in Needs attention.
- Dates and the current calendar month use the application timezone shown in the overview. The cards are a snapshot at page load, not a live-updating feed.
- Your current viewing permission governs the underlying records. View own deals restricts the figures to your ownership; View all deals uses all records accessible through that permission. Native dashboard visibility is also preserved: the corporate Connected dashboard widgets area is administrator-visible under its existing rules.
- The native Lead-to-cash area also includes Sales CRM opportunities, with the open count, closing-this-month count and attention count. Its link opens all accessible open opportunities.
- Pipeline value sums open opportunity amounts separately for each currency. Probability-weighted value sums each opportunity amount multiplied by its stored probability, rounded to two decimal places per opportunity. No exchange-rate conversion or combined currency total is applied.
- Weighted pipeline value is a probability-based estimate, not booked revenue, an invoice balance, payment, sales-credit allocation or a committed forecast. Use the separate forecast and accounting tools for those purposes.
- Each card links to the same filters used for its count. All pipelines opens List, including the Pipeline column. A newly edited opportunity, changed permissions or passing midnight can make a subsequently opened list differ from the earlier snapshot.
- A zero count means no matching accessible active opportunities. When there are no open opportunities, the value area explains that values will appear as opportunities are added; it does not invent a default currency.
- Overview temporarily unavailable means the figures could not be loaded. It does not mean zero opportunities. Normal access and existing widget visibility preferences are preserved.
Check it worked
- Check the correct workspace, viewing scope, observation time and timezone.
- Click a card and compare its filters with the card definition. Remove unrelated personal filters before comparing other views.
- For Closing this month and Past expected close, inspect the date fields under More filters.
- For currency values, verify that only the selected currency is shown in the linked list.
- Compare counts promptly after refreshing; check new edits and access changes if the values differ.
Troubleshooting
- If the widget is absent, check native dashboard visibility, any saved widget hiding preference, module availability and Sales CRM viewing access. The corporate module widget area retains its existing administrator restriction.
- If the overview is temporarily unavailable, reload once and open Sales CRM directly. If it persists, provide the page and time to your administrator; do not interpret the missing figures as zero.
- If a linked filter is unavailable for your current access, the workspace displays a warning. Review the visible filters before using the results.
- If Board is disabled after clicking a KPI, select one pipeline and Apply. All pipelines uses List to avoid mixing unrelated stage layouts.
- If amounts look different from a forecast or report, compare currency, expected-close period, outcome, archive state, ownership and probability settings. The dashboard shows all accessible active open pipeline value.
- If an opportunity has no expected close date, it can count as Needs attention while remaining outside both date-based cards.
