Create and arrange CRM dashboards

Combine up to twelve saved reports into a responsive dashboard with an intentional reading order.

Audience: authorised staffPermission: Sales CRM viewing access; administrator to share a dashboardReviewed 30 October 2026
Where to goSales CRM → Reports → Dashboards → Create dashboard

Before you start

Use your own authorised staff account in the intended Pixie CRM workspace. The Sales CRM module must be available and your role must include the permissions stated above. Existing leads, customers, communications and customer portal pages retain their normal access rules.

Follow these steps

  1. Create and save the reports you want to show before building the dashboard.
  2. Choose Create dashboard, enter its name and description, and select Private or an authorised Shared visibility.
  3. Choose a saved report for each widget and select Half width or Full width. Add further widgets as needed.
  4. Use Move widget up and Move widget down to set reading order. Remove a widget when it is no longer needed; this does not remove its saved report.
  5. Save and open the dashboard. Use Refresh dashboard to recalculate current results, or Open report on a widget to see every group and its underlying records.
  6. Use Edit layout to revise the composition. Use Close view to return to the dashboard library.

Behavior and limits

  • A dashboard contains 1–12 widgets. Each account supports 10 dashboard definitions, including retired definitions.
  • Half-width widgets share a row on wider screens. Widgets stack vertically on smaller screens; Full width spans the available dashboard width.
  • Shared dashboards require shared active reports. Your private dashboard can combine your private reports with accessible shared reports.
  • A widget shows up to eight groups per currency section to keep the dashboard readable. Open its report for the complete result of up to 200 groups.
  • Each widget refreshes independently and shows its calculation time. One unavailable report does not erase the other widgets.
  • Dashboard results are refreshed on opening or explicit refresh; there is no background live-stream or scheduled outbound delivery.

Check it worked

  • Check widget order, widths and displayed measures on both a wide and a narrow screen.
  • Read the refresh time and date period for each widget; different reports can intentionally use different periods.

Troubleshooting

  • If a report is missing from the builder, confirm it is active and accessible to your account.
  • If saving a Shared dashboard fails, replace private reports with shared active reports or keep the dashboard private.
  • Use the report’s own Edit control to change its measure or display; layout editing chooses and arranges report widgets.
