Configure deal scoring rules

Create transparent qualification scores using typed conditions and positive or negative points.

Where to goSales CRM → Sales setup → Deal scoring → Add scoring rule

Before you start

Use your own authorised staff account in the intended Pixie CRM workspace. The Sales CRM module must be available and your role must include the permissions stated above. Existing leads, customers, communications and customer portal pages retain their normal access rules.

Follow these steps

  1. Choose Add scoring rule and enter a name that explains the qualification criterion, such as Enterprise value fit.
  2. Enter points from -100 to 100. Choose Active to include the rule in assessments, or Retired to retain it without applying it.
  3. Choose All conditions when every condition must match, or Any condition when one match is sufficient. Add between one and ten conditions.
  4. For a monetary threshold, select Deal value, choose At least, and enter the threshold. Add a Currency Equals condition and choose the intended currency.
  5. Save the rule. Open an accessible deal and expand Why this score? to check whether it matched.

Behavior and limits

  • A workspace supports up to 100 scoring rules, including retired rules. Retire rules instead of deleting them.
  • Matching active rules contribute their points. The combined score is capped between 0 and 100. Each rule contributes once.
  • Scores are recalculated when a deal assessment is opened. They do not change deal value, win probability, stage or forecasts.
  • Only active, public custom fields can be used. If a referenced field becomes private or retired, the entire rule becomes unavailable, including an Any rule.
  • A concurrent configuration change is rejected. Reload the rule before applying a new edit.

Check it worked

  • Test a matching deal and a non-matching deal. Check the explanation and the total score.
  • Confirm a score change leaves the deal probability and forecast value unchanged.

Troubleshooting

  • No active rules displays a dash rather than a meaningful zero score. Add an active rule first.
  • An unavailable-field explanation means an administrator must repair the rule or restore the field’s public, active availability.
  • If several currencies are in use, always include the intended currency when matching a deal-value threshold.
