Configure multiple sales pipelines and stages

Create a process with ordered stages, probabilities and controlled entry requirements.

Where to goSales CRM → Sales setup → New pipeline or Configure pipeline

Before you start

Use your own authorised staff account in the intended Pixie CRM workspace. The Sales CRM module must be available and your role must include the permissions stated above. Existing leads, customers, communications and customer portal pages retain their normal access rules.

Follow these steps

  1. Enter a pipeline name and select whether it is Active.
  2. Define between 3 and 20 stages. Include open, won and lost outcome types.
  3. For each stage, enter a distinct name and the win probability for open opportunities.
  4. Choose the information required before entry and whether another reviewer must approve the move.
  5. Save the pipeline. Open a controlled test opportunity and verify its stages and requirements.

Behavior and limits

  • Stages appear in their configured order. Won uses 100% and Lost uses 0%.
  • Existing stages are retained to preserve record history; clear Active to retire one.
  • The outcome type of a stage already used by deals cannot be changed. Add a new stage for a different outcome.
  • Changing a stage probability does not rewrite existing deal probabilities. A later stage move applies the destination stage’s probability.
  • An inactive pipeline or stage cannot receive new deals or transitions. Existing records remain available.

Check it worked

  • Create or inspect a deal in the pipeline and verify the names, order, outcome and probability behavior.

Troubleshooting

  • If a stage cannot be removed, retire it instead. Existing references must remain valid.
  • If users cannot request a controlled stage, confirm that another active, authorised reviewer can access that deal.
